Gravit App Reviews
Screensaver
Make it into one.
...
This app is not working and i am working the most recent version of OSX
this isnt fun at all, and if you dont want it on your mac anymore well too bad because you cant drag it to your trash can. other than that, have a blast!
Absolutely terrible human interface. Using F keys means I have to hold fn or not hold it depending on the particular f key. Never did get F1 working. The descriptive text is tiny and very sparse. No docs. Initial simulation seems to be some kind of particles Ive not heard of: red particles seem to attract each other, but repel blue. Is this supposed to be gravity? In any case, not enough info, not enough control to make this more than a nice-for-2-minutes screensaver.
I was hoping that this would be a good gravity simulator, and while I am sure if I could figure out how to use it, it probably would be. The most simple of concepts are not shared: for example - to write a spawn script the instructions say to place a .gravitspawn file into the /spawn directory. Where is that on a Mac? I tried many things, but to no avail. I know the app is free - but it is useless without the ability to create your own simulations. Not sure why this is even out there.
On the next update make a TOOL/CONTROL box in the bottom left corner, replacing the random feed. In this box, you can customize anything you want to do (with buttons and sliders) to make a colorful and elaborate simulation, which is a lot easier than memorizing the controls on the keyboard. I gave you 5 stars, so just make it easier to control the things. BUT WAIT there should be a mode similar to Spawn Glow, which is free for iPhone.
I was looking for a replacement for "Orbital" with broke with Lion. This looks very interesting but theres no documentation at all even on the website. Hitting F8 on my keyboard does NOTHING at all. *delete app
its cool and fun, i have no idea really whats happening, i figured out how F1 gave me the list of controls in the fine text to the left (If you press the O key, it will make the text disappear or reappear). still, either theyre unresponsive or im not getting it. and i wish it would stop appearing in a tile format. i cant figure that out. so confused. looks cool though, at times
1) Get rid of the keyboard functions (or can be optional) 2) Have an options menu and have BUTTONS. No keyboard shortcuts! that would be so much easier The second screenshot looks amazing, but the controls are too confusing to recreate it.
wont delete
it wont even download, and it wont delete when i try to delete it.
This app does not run at all in MAvericks, even after installing X11. The developers need to re-tool and make this a native app or remove it from the App Store.
